365 days down. An eternity still to come.

p [So, the big hub-bub for the day is that Adam and I have been together for a whole year.  ( If we want to get technical, one year and three hours and 22 minutes. )  It has been a fun filled journey, this past year and I can still remember our first real date which happened before we were officially dating.  That memorable night, among many others, is just one of many instances that remind me how truly blessed I am to have Adam in my life.  Though he tells me that I make him be a better person, the same is true in vice versa.  ( I would just like to take a brief interlude and say that I am shocked that Nathan [Virginia's husband] does NOT like Christmas Music.  ~gasp~ )  You see, Adam has this personality which most people would think is entirely unsuitable to my own.  But in reality it's the perfect balance.  I spend too much time worrying about what EVERYONE says about me.  It's just one of those insecure little things, that I was bred with.  Now, I'm not going to say that Adam doesn't care what anyone says about him, he just realizes those who are important.  And that's something I'm working on.  I could spend forever talking about how we compliment each other but that's enough embarrassment for one day.

So, on to other news.  There is a choir concert tonight in which we are singing a Charpentier Mass and Christmas Canticles by Harlan.  I should say that at last night's dress rehearsal the little group of us sitting together came up with the titles "Sharpenpencils" and "Harlot" for the two pieces.  I will be singing in two trios ( alto, tenor, bass ) and I'll be singing with some fabulous men, Mark, Chase and Ryan.

The semester is coming to a close and I can really tell.  My energy is waning...and fast.  I have a final in Anthropology and a final in my computer class.  A little worried about both of those.  My final in Orchestration is comprehensive so I'm going to be spending like FOREVER studying for that one.  Luckily it's on Thursday.  Tuesday I'll be having my jury in which I'll have six songs memorized...well, hopefully.  Also on Monday I'll be turning in a paper which counts as a final for my Renaissance and Reformation class.  So...that's classes.  Sometime, I'll have to spend time with Adam since we don't get to have tonight with each other.  He has to get his presents, which I am very excited about.  :D  I spoil him, I think.  But that's only because he's totally worth it.

What's it about?

A blogger is something I am not.  However, with my engagement to a certain special someone, my life is changing at a very rapid rate and so I thought it would be fun to put what goes on in my life somewhere that everyone can see.  You see, I'll be moving away in 8 - 10 months and could end up anywhere from Boston to Los Angeles.  So, this is simply a preliminary post and I'll come back and talk a little about myself...so...until then.
